Puerto Rico Segunda Parte (Part 2)

In September I journeyed back to Puerto Rico and I'm excited to share some highlights from my journey. This time, the focus of my visit was to conduct a condensed training session and welcome four new team members to our project.

This workshop was pretty similar to the one we had back in June, but this time it was a whirlwind… A condensed crash course tailored specifically for our new team members. The workshop was very productive and I would call it a success. While it was a shorter training, it was also a lot more intense for me this time, as I was the sole trainer, responsible for guiding our new team members through the onboarding process.

Despite the exhaustion that came with the role of being the primary instructor, I was very encouraged by the dedication and enthusiasm of our new team members. They were eager to learn and excited to contribute to our Spanish Old Testament revision project.

While I was on the island, I also took the opportunity to reconnect with some of the original team members. One of my friends from the team, Victor, took me around Puerto Rico to explore its beauty on one of the days. It was a fantastic experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide.

I’ll be honest, with this being my third trip for work since June, the toll of travel and being away from my family felt more significant this time. Balancing work commitments and personal life can be challenging, but God reminds me why I do this, and I am encouraged to keep going.

So, it was a successful trip on multiple fronts. We successfully onboarded new team members, I reconnected with friends, and enjoyed the beauty of the island. While the travel may have taken a toll on me this time, the sense of accomplishment and teamwork made it all worth it. I look forward to

what the future holds for our project in Puerto Rico and the continued work of revising the Spanish Old Testament.

Thank you for following along on our journey, and stay tuned for more updates.
